Our Guarantee to You

The premise behind Made-to-Order is to provide you with a custom-made gift basket that is great value for money, with items that have been personalised specifically for your recipient. Since each basket is individually crafted we guarantee you will be involved in the design process every step of the way to ensure your recipient gets exactly the right gift. We will not create your basket until you confirm the contents will be acceptable for your special someone. And we will personally stand behind every gift we create.

For gifts containing food items we take every precaution to ensure all contents have a minimum of four weeks shelf life (in most cases this will be even longer) at the date of delivery. We also include a reminder on the card of when the first item must be consumed. We take no responsibility for expired basket items when the gift has been uplifted from us by the purchaser and delivered at a much later date.

Our gifts are carefully packed and we use only well established couriers. Therefore, we will happily replace any gift basket item delivered by us or our chosen couriers if it arrives in a damaged condition. We take no responsibility for gifts that have been picked up from our workshop and delivered by the purchaser or a third party.

All purchases from Made-to-Order are also covered by the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 which guarantees that any goods purchased for personal use may be returned, if they are considered faulty, for repair, replacement or refund of purchase price. We pride ourselves on the quality of the goods we supply, so if you should, for any reason, be unhappy with the quality of the basket contents, we will be happy to discuss how to best remedy the situation.

International Orders

We welcome orders from international customers wishing to purchase gifts for recipients in New Zealand. To avoid disappointment for birthdays and special occasions please allow for time differences when ordering (remember that New Zealand is one of the first countries to ‘see the sun’ and is 12 hours ahead of GMT).

Pricing and Currency

All gifts are charged in $NZ and include a 15% Goods and Services Tax. We work to your budget, so you will know the exact cost of the basket before it is created.

Delivery

We will make every effort to have your products couriered within the requested timeframe. It is important to allow sufficient time for delivery and since we sub-contract our courier service, delivery timeframes are occasionally beyond our control. Please contact us without delay if a gift has not been delivered as requested. Please see our delivery details for more information on costings and time frames.

Please check your delivery address carefully as we will not be responsible for delivery to an incorrect address. If we have to resend a parcel that is returned because of an incorrect address we will have to pass the costs on to you.

Payment

We take payment via credit card, Internet or bank deposit, cash or cheque.  In the case of bank deposit or cheque payment, funds must be cleared before your gift will be dispatched.

For corporate orders in excess of $1,000 we require a 30% non-refundable deposit within seven days of order confirmation, with the balance of the invoice due before the order is dispatched. If you wish to open a corporate account for 20th month payments, please email us for a credit application form.

Returns Policy

At Made-to-Order we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction. In the unlikely event that your gift is damaged in transit, or contains faulty items, please let us know IMMEDIATELY. Contact us to advise details of the problem and we will do everything within our power to assist you in reaching a satisfactory outcome, including replacement, credit or refund (depending on your preference).

Returns are not accepted due to a change of mind, so please ensure we have your basket customised to your satisfaction before confirming your order.

Privacy Policy

To keep you up to date with specials, new products etc, we will retain your contact details on file. From time to time we may send you newsletters with special offers and new and exciting gift information. We will not give your details to any other third party and will release information only when we believe release is appropriate to comply with law; enforce or apply our terms and conditions; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Made-to-Order Limited, our users, or others. If you wish to be removed from our mailing list please use the unsubscribe option, or email us with unsubscribe in the subject line.
