Every now and then we get to make a gift that is truly personalised for a very special occasion. Each of the following gifts was as much fun for us to design as it was for the intended to receive. So we thought we'd tell you a little story about a few of our favourites and the reasoning behind the contents that were included. This gift was designed for a couple celebrating their tenth anniversary. Since the traditional gift is tin, aluminium or pewter, we thought a silver themed basket would be the way to go. The sculpture became the centrepiece with body products, candles and romantic messages spread throughout. There was even chocolate and jewellery... but the packaging didn't match, so we had to hide it in the silver and blue packages at the back. We had lovely feedback from both the purchaser and the recipient of this basket - they loved it! |
| This gift was so much fun to make! What do you get for a lady who is a great cook (with gourmet food a favourite), loves anything to do with France, and thinks she was Spanish in a past life? It's easy... call us, and we will make her a fabulous foodie gift with all the elements covered. The book is Mario Batali's Spanish Road Trip, complete with gourmet Spanish recipes. Food items included olive zing, basil and garlic infused salt, red pepper pesto gourmet dressing, Caribbean conserve and many other treats to use when cooking. As well as a cheese board with inset knife, the whole thing was served up in a French 'cafe au lait' print china bowl. Bon appetit! |  |

We were asked to make a gift with a difference for a 60th birthday present for a special mum. We supplied the gift trunk and some lovely New Zealand made body products - and the lady's children supplied two tickets to an Andre Rieu concert, along with an accommodation voucher. We then inserted a special explanation into the lid of the trunk so she could get even more excited about what was hidden beneath the body products!

Another anniversary basket, this time to help celebrate 43 years of marriage. The modern gift for this celebration is 'travel' - but how can you do that on a limited budget, and with a gift basket? Easy... provide the recipients with a day's worth of food items and take them on a 'trip around the world' in a basket! With a French baguette, Australian vegemite, English breakfast tea, Italian spaghetti, Irish creme coffee and Scottish whisky liqueur chocolates (amongst other items)... what a trip it was! |
